Welcome!

It is our hope and prayer that you will allow the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to move you toward spiritual maturity with the food of God’s Word.  The Bible says you are to be, Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” (1 Peter 2:2-3) The author of the Book of Hebrews tells us, “..solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14)  Christians who feed upon the Word of God are skilled in living for the Lord in ways that cause others to consider their relationship with Jesus Christ.  Prayerfully consider studying God’s Word!

“Effective Broadcasting”

Begins with Understanding Christ’s Teachings

A parable (παραβολή parabolé̄ ) is a short story under which something else is figured or in which the fictitious is used to represent and illustrate the real. (The Complete Word Study Dictionary)

In Luke 8 we read of Jesus telling a parable of sowing God’s Word. Christians who are Holy Spirit illuminated with the whole council of God’s Word have understanding of the teachings of Christ about the sowers of the seed. They joyfully plant the seed of God’s Word, knowing Jesus taught that there are four types of soil that represent the hearts of mankind. 1.) The hard trodden-down pathways are like the hearts of those who hear, but the devil comes and takes away the Word from their hearts so that they may not believe and be saved. 2.) The rocky ground is like the hearts of those who believe for awhile, but in the time of testing fall away. 3.) The thorny ground is like those who have hearts with faith that is quickly choked out by life’s worries, riches, and pleasures, and they never mature. However, 4.) The fertile soil is like those with good and noble hearts. They will hear the Word, retain it, and by persevering, produce a crop. (Luke 8:11 - 15)   They also understand that the results of the harvest from the planted seeds of God’s Word come from God, for only He can bring growth. (1 Corinthians 3:6)

An understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ births forth true belief.  Christians devoted to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word know that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”  (2 Timothy 3:16)  “God’s Word is like fire... and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces.” (Jeremiah 23: 29)   Faith comes by people hearing the message of God’s Word about Christ. (Romans 10: 17)  Preachers and teachers devoted to their call take every opportunity available to get the Word of God out of the church walls so people can be reached for the Lord, thus being enabled to fulfill their part of the “Great Commission.”
